BioI'm 24 yr old young woman, college graduate starting my career. I am using LJ to keep track of all my life occurrences, as well as my weight loss. I've been self conscious about my size for as long as I can remember, however I believe I have Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Yes, this means I may never be happy with how I look.
When I decided I wanted to lose weight, I created an LJ account and began reaching out to communities I thought wouldn't judge my decision, as my friends do. I'm finally the size I wish to stay, and watch what I eat. Sure I have slurges, but what's wrong with eating and drinking what's right for you? The people I've met in these communities are extremely honest and helpful. That's what I need.
My first entry is the only entry for non-friends. It was created when I first joined LJ on July 9, 2009, and is an introduction - as well as the background of my weight gain story. Back then, the only intention I had of having an online journal was to keep track of numbers (weight, calories, intake calculators etc). It's gotten a LOT more personal since then: including where I'm living, my job, my boyfriend, pictures of me (for weightloss documentation), helpful web sites, etc. I'm even taking an interest in health & nutrition! My goal is to be not only be a flattering size for my body (I'm 5'2"), but be healthy too.
I will not accept inactive or blank journals/profiles. I like to know who's viewing, which is why I made my journal private.
